In Trouble with the Law

in-trouble-with-the-law We were raised to be law abiding citizens, and our father always tried to teach us that it was smarter to follow the rules than to pay the price for breaking them.  It has been something that I have lived by for most of my life, but my brother had other plans.

I guess it came as no surprised when he was arrested for shoplifting, but I think we were still shocked all the same.  If you haven’t experienced the fear of having a loved one facing incarceration, then I am very happy for you – it isn’t a pleasant feeling at all.  I suppose the biggest issue we had was that we didn’t know if he actually committed the crime or not, and we were going to have to wait until the court date to see.

Our parents tried to be proactive, and did some research to find the best Tampa criminal defense lawyers available.  It was going to be their first experience with any of the Tampa criminal attorneys, and they wanted to make sure it was a positive one.

The court date is in just two weeks and at that point we will see what the lawyers can do and if we can save our brother.  Whatever the outcome, I just hope he learns a lesson from this mistake that he has made.
